Connection and workflow
USB scanners often act like a keyboard: scan a code and the characters appear in the focused field. Bluetooth adds mobility but requires pairing and battery management. Batch/offline mode is useful in storage areas without a connected device, provided its export format fits your workflow.

- Assign a stable SKU convention that never encodes changeable price.
- Give every shelf/bin a location code.
- Print readable labels and test them at normal distance.
- Decide which inventory field receives a scan.
- Test receiving, finding, selling and auditing—not just one happy-path scan.
