Estimate your Mercari fee and payout.

Mercari’s published US structure is one flat selling percentage on what the buyer pays. Enter your numbers and see what remains.

This is an editable estimate, not a Mercari quote. Figures reflect Mercari’s published US structure as checked in August 2026 and can change. Confirm in Mercari’s fee help article before listing, or see the dated fee-change log.

How the fee works

Buyer-paid shipping is inside the fee base.

When the buyer pays shipping, the selling percentage applies to item plus shipping — so raising a shipping charge does not dodge the fee. With free shipping the fee base shrinks to the item price, but the label comes out of your side; this calculator lets you model both by moving the shipping and label fields.

Mercari’s buyer-side Buyer Protection fee is charged to the buyer on top of your price. It changes what the buyer sees at checkout, not your payout line.

How much does Mercari take from a sale?

As of August 2026, Mercari’s published US structure is a 10% selling fee on the amount the buyer pays — item price plus buyer-paid shipping. If you offer free shipping, the fee applies to the item price only. Confirm the current structure in Mercari’s help center before listing.

Does Mercari still charge a payment processing fee?

Under the structure introduced in January 2025, the previous 2.9% + $0.50 payment processing charge was folded away — the seller’s platform deduction is the flat selling fee. Buyers pay a separate Buyer Protection fee that does not come out of your payout.

Is the fee charged on shipping?

When the buyer pays for shipping, Mercari applies the selling fee to item price plus that shipping amount. With free-shipping listings the fee base is the item price, but you then pay the label yourself — compare both setups before choosing.
